just some further food for thought (not advice as I do not know your full circumstances) but taking a CSS pension prior to turning 60 will incur tax at your marginal tax rate. Given you earn $46k from employment you will be taxed at minimum 31.5%.
If you defer until turning 60 same applies but you will be entitled to a 10% rebate on the pension which reduces tax rate down to 21.5%, inc medicare, on the pension amount.
