Sorry Buffet , starting to lose me with this sort of comment. You could say what you have just said with ANY speculative company. All of them are capable of very high returns, but most of them will fail in that endeavour.
You rarely get bluechip stocks plumetting in the way CNP has and recovering. Even your AMPs drop wasn't anywhere near as pronounced. CNP has lost 96% of its value, yes 96% from its highs. 10 years of growth down the toilet.
This doesn't happen for no reason, it happens because the situation is diabolical. If CNP get out of this and manage to grow the company within the next couple of years it will be a fantastic effort. Right now it's a basketcase and looking like its going to revisit its lows once again.
Im with Hotwolf, if you're going to invest in speculatives, why would you catch a falling knife, why not invet in a company that is showing positive share movement and kicking goals. There are many of them around.
