A MAJOR Croydon shopping centre has been sold for $31.5 million.

Colliers International retail investment state director Lachlan MacGillivray announced today that Centro Croydon was sold to Kew private investor group PCL Prattcorp.

Prattcorp directors Ian and Gary Pratt said the centre provided their company, which has a construction division, a ?unique potential? for refurbishment or expansion in the future.

Mr MacGillivray said the complex attracted more than 100 inquiries since it was placed on the market in March.
