I don't think Austrian is a language.
In Austria, they speak German and in some local areas Slovene, Croatian and Hungarian.
BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, or in English, Bavarian Motor Works) is a German car maker, so the instruction manual is likely to be in German.
I think it is safe to assume that a local language translation would be available to purchasers of said diagnostic scanning tool.
On the off chance that BMW shipped the tool with the wrong language manual, I'm sure a quick call to the local representative would facilitate a faxed or emailed copy of the correct language manual being sent to you.
If this didn't work, I suspect the manuals are also available on the BMW service website in every language.. including Austrian.
