Just in relation to this, there was an article in todays (22/8) GC Bulletin about the sale and the calling of tenders.
The basic thrust of the story concerned the guy (Rix) who wished to purchase it back in May (who was apparently excluded from having discussions because of the exclusive arangement thing).
Basically the story was questioning the reasons for it now being tendered in light of what happened back in May.
Rix said back in May he would have been a cash buyer. He said he would be putting in an offer, however, he did not believe the property was worth what is listed as the present book value ($75 million).
They sought comment from the agent. Apparently they are seeking offers of above $70 million.
