Re your "TP Cospiracy Theory. (TM)

There are billions of dollars at stake here, and I would not put it past ANY of the banks or other players to do whatever it takes to get the best deal for themselves.

    Overlaying all this:

CNP is a sound business caught up in a mess not of their own doing and their major creditors know this. I believe they will be prepared to extend the existing loans if necessary to give CNP time to sort this out.

The creditors want back 100 cents in the dollar and by forcing the issue they will only do damage to to themselves.

Banks still make their profits by lending clients money, and if I were a bank ( No !, I am not "Bendigo" the bank lol ) I would be very willing to lend CNP funds because they have a sound conventional business, and can demonstrate an abilty to service their debt.

Of course at this crazy irrational time in the market anything is possible, so I wouldn't be putting the family farm on CNP, but I believe the risk/ reward is still weighted in favour of owning some shares.

    Cheers,

    Bendigo
