There has been some discussion about the MISSION PAYLOAD MODULE ,NON-LETHAL WEAPON SYSTEMS (MPM-NLWS)on another thread, there is a list of interested parties here,

To the uninitiated it would appear that there are eight interested parties in the weapons system when in actual fact there are only two!

Metalstorm and Combined Systems (who have two entries which are exactly the same except for the contact person)

The reason why I say this is because the actual Grenade launcher itself is only listed in three entries, and one of them is for the laser dazzler that is fitted to the Firestorm in my opinion.

To get to this conclusion you need to look at the NAICS code, you will notice that there are only three companies listed there that have the code 332994 beside their names this is for Small Arms Manufacturing which the grenade launcher manufacturing comes under.


If you go to this link it will tell you what the naics code means http://www.naics.com/search.htm

If you look down to the second block on the L/H side labled NAICS Code, enter the number 332994 and hit naics search, it will take you to a list of all 332994 codes there are 29 of them, where it says naics code and below is the number 332994, just clck on that number and it will take you to another page where it tell you the generic meaning of that code, and below that there is another list of items with that code, the tenth one down is the one we are interested in it's called 332994 Grenade launchers manufacturing.

(God knows why it comes under this area of small arms manufacturing under 30mm??)

As I said there are only three companies that have the code 332994 and one of them only manufactures light globes and dazzlers, I am thinking this is the laser dazzler that MST are using on the firestorm, all the rest of those companies listed are for things like ammunition and other ancillary things for instance the one that got added the other day was KTM SOLUTIONS, INC.(sounds like a trail bike manufacturer to me ) you will see beside that name the NAICS number 541330
