Very clever smear! Wait. Long term investors will NOT be hurt unless they sell! Obviously he's overestimated their intelligence.
Being a very bright man himself, this is hardly his fault.
The reality is that a CEO cannot talk about this deal and how it was brokered with the bankers publicly. If he did, how long do you think he would last as a CEO?
The quality of 'discussion' in here over the last week or so has been by and large, abysmal.
