Given that he had moved on from RIO - I cannot imagine he would be too interested in being Extract's CEO if it was going to be gobbled up by RIO.
I think that it is a smart move by EXT to get someone with the specific local experience - as a previous MD for Rossing Uranium. IMO this is further indication that EXT will develop Rossing South in their own right - rather than as say a JV with RIO.
