I’ve actually heard the same thing, years ago. Advice should always be independent, pushing approved products is a recipe for disaster. In all of this, there is a major issue that still has to be addressed and that is financial literacy of consumers. We need to really ramp up the education. But it will never happen. Greed usually wins. Little guy gets hurt.
