I think a lot of people are focussed on SI, but I think it's as much a failure of the rest of the board.

Why?

I genuinely believe SI is the most gifted person in his field. Which is something of a poison chalice for him.

People of this nature know their product works and they can then suffer because they believe, being so sure, that others will be sure by extension.

But boards needs the right mix of people around these gifted individuals who know how the FDA work, know how business works, and know how all the self interests fit together.

They also need to know how to control SI from himself.

Otherwise he will keep running headfirst into brick walls and be left wondering what happened.

I wonder if bringing in Krause they thought they had their inside man who knew how it all worked?

I wonder if he has been on the phone to ex-colleagues asking them what they hell happened?

Maybe his influence has been overstated?
