You make a fair point. But PEN is not a top 100 company.
The genius over at Berkshire Hathaway earns, and has earned, $100,000 a year (not a typo) for the last 40 years. Others have earned multi-millions - but have destroyed their companies, employees and shareholders lives, in the process.
It's all about degrees. It's all about fairness.
Twiggy looks good now because he made it succeed. But the Twiggy Forrests of this world are a rare breed. It would also be instructive to know if Twiggy felt the need to pursue other interests. And if there were ever clauses in his performance shares relating to takeovers. Somehow, I think takeovers were the last thing on his mind.
