True Agent Cooper, but it's all about method and scale. The market wasn't overly fond of what ANZ did (I don't follow STG so have no idea there) however the impact was negligible. But there is no real comparison regardless for scale reasons.

Interestingly, I often view it as a strong positive when companies don't have a dividend reinvestment plan in place. I see this as a sign that their cash / working capital position is solid and they have no real need to preserve either the dollars or to maintain the equity in the balance sheet. To the best of my understanding MFS did not have their DRP active for at least the last dividend. Has that much really changed in the past few months? or was MFS just totally stupid in timing, and possibly sucked in by their "advisors" (including Macquarie) who were probably salivating over the thought of fees fees fees for a $550 million capital raising?
