Maybe I underestimated the revenue from Coles this quarter. last quarter was $400k, so I went with same. Conservative considering we had an extra 300 stores, but it did seem like something went wrong for a while. If Coles was strong then that is a 600k quarter, add $100k for bulk sales to Kava bars in the US and we may hit that $2.3m for the quarter which would be exceptional growth.

The only concern is to stalled e-commerce sales in Australia of the powder, which would have been very low in September compared to August, considering we also had e-commerce sales of the flavours, strainers, blenders etc... No shots mind you. It is very important that people keep buying kava powder, so we need to invest in R&D to make the kava taste almost disappear with the flavours.

I would the gradual decline in powder sales is why we have gone harder with advertising.

Two prime tips for management,

1. the flavours do not mix well with the instant (micronised), in that the grittiness is magnified and the kava taste consumes the mango so that it becomes some strange tasting version.

2. consider a dehydration circuit to the manufacturing flow sheet that makes a real instant kava (dehydrated / potent). Now this version will mix much better with the flavours currently produced. I know this as I have tested it at home by completely extracting all the kavalactones through some acid and heavy blending and then filtering all the residue. The remaining is a pure liquid that is much more potent as i have used much more kava, but it is a much better mix with the mango, even more so with mango and lemonade.

I also hope the stick packs to be released in the US is simply not a mix of mango and micronised. This will not work IMO. It also needs to be a proper instant version of kava. We also need fizzy and sweet, with a kavalactone punch on top of the flavored kava shots which should do well.
