PS Fools hide behind jargon.

Some fools actually won a Nobel Prize for their stock market work - only to be shown to be hopelessly wrong in reality. All the stats in the world, no matter how brilliantly applied, could not account for human behaviour. Assumptions made about same, which of course did not stand up.
Glad you recognised I dont think anything like the mean.
