sorgman, each to their own, but my personal view is that i could buy a $500k header or i could buy a $150k second hand header (same capacity) and budget for a bit more in maintenance, a lot less in opportunity costs and a lot less in depreciation. but i guess i'm in a relatively marginal area and, after a lean run of seasons, tight as all hell.
