The fear is justified ... are we heading back to the days of sheep John? Only this time, it'll be meat breeds? I can see how cockies are stepping back from the promise of great riches from the imminent food boom. I don't doubt high prices are coming but the costs will follow, along with risk ...
Maybe the carbon market will lure the disallusioned? Who could blame them ... provided debt levels are not too high. Mind you if you sold your grain machinery and got rid of the nitrogen and herbicide bill most farmers would have fairly attractive equity levels.
