This is really magnificent; to realize the grandeur of Cerro Galan just look what it is now the peak reaching 6000m above sea level; in fact it is only a bulge in the caldera floor, generated after the last major eruption by the pressure in magma chamber.
Look at that bulge and at the entire caldera and you can get a glimpse of how big was the majestic Cerro Galan.
This was a monster volcano.
