Vendor I have seen many many MACD signals that mean nought. In fact that is one of the most frustrating things about the so called reliability of these indicators. Some will portend a drop, others seem neutral and yet others seem to be a paradoxical indicator.

to keep my posts relatively succinct i used the example of macd. I have a few key rules and a few key indicators that i use in conjunction with each other.
As they are indicators, they assist with the timing of entries and exits. that i believe is the big diff between fundamental and T/A. The perfect example of this has been illustrated from guys holding stock for 18 months, letting it run to 38 not getting out then seeing their money cut in half as it retraced to 20.
Understanding the macd 'in conjunction' with other indicators is the key.

The fundamentals of a company will change before any fundamentalists will ever know, T/A, if used properly will give you all the indications you need, the majority of the time.
