Excellent news.
Funny how things work out though... they develop the self sampler to go with the HPV/DNA test they acquired some time ago. Now they go ahead with the self sampler and apparently shelve their own test. Funny but very sensible I think. The self sampler will be a breeze to manufacture compared to the SUS units. Far better to have only one headache at a time. Piggy backing on some heavy hitters as TTH says is very wise move at this stage in PLTs development. Also excellent to have the sampler used in the broader tests currently under development by Genera.
The market is still waiting for the "show me the money" moment, as are we all. Announcements like this help make the waiting a little more comfortable for us long termers.
