So if the Olay FaceNavi Smart Wand is indeed Dermaportation and not multi-MicroArray; then what happened to COTY and why wasn't the market informed?
The answer is right there in your text.. "OBJ retains all rights to... e-Skin Technologies"
The COTY agreement may still stand, or it may have expired after its natural term (probably 2 or so years). It does not matter however since "OBJ retains all rights to... e-Skin Technologies".
This is how OBJ describes it :

Dermaportation
Complex time-varying magnetic fields provide greater power, programmability, multiple formulation capability and configuration to individual skin types according to age and ethnicity. It is a highly flexible product development platform that enables a wide range of commercial applications.
eSkin
eSkin multi-product delivery system, employing OBJ’s powered technology, is designed to provide a wide range of product-specific, time-varying magnetic fields in a format ideal for enhanced delivery of multiple formulations. The platform opens up opportunities to create personalised delivery profiles powered by e-commence and web-programmable applications.

those two sound very similar. The basis of both is that they are powered and use "time-varying magnetic fields" which OBJ has called dermaportation (see patent WO2010148440). Add in a control system provided by the Olay Skin Advisor and you have eSkin (see patent WO2014075136).
