Official news article from Olay. The wand is not 1 of 3 new features to the skin advisor that is due to be live in 2019. It will however be used in conjunction with the skin advisor app. Release date unknown. 

The key objective from what I read is to have a product that adjusts to your skin live and the properties of the face moisturiser constantly tailored to the consumer. This can only be done using our technology whether it be the lid of the cream or via application with the smart wand. We are indeed integral to Olay's strategic plan.
