    This could be the beginning of the end of the war on coal: "Australia's conservative government is set to reject widespread calls for a clean energy target in a policy focused on keeping the lights on affordably over the next several years." - RBA watching energy policy
    Has to be good for coal producers, anyway - if they remove the CET then maybe at last there will be a level playing field for energy - in which case generators will move quite heavily away from renewables(=unreliables). Gas would probably be the biggest winner, but coal would benefit too. I had assumed that SMR was intending to export all of its production, but we could be looking at domestic opportunities growing over the next few years.
