ceto and boating

    OK, wave-power heads - here's a question for everyone.

I was thinking about the Garden Island site recently. I was sailing around there the year before last and we anchored near there on the seaward side of the island in a public anchorage for a night.

Now, let's assume we are three or so years in the future and Carnegie has a wave power generation plant somewhere in the vicinity in full operation. Maybe they have 20 CETO III units or so. Will this area of ocean be cordoned off from ther boating public? I assume getting an anchor tangled up in a CETO unit would be very bad for the boat and also for the CETO, therefore, will these areas be no-go zones for the general public? You can anchor wherever you like at the moment, at least during the day, for fishing, swimming etc.

Maybe Garden Island isn't such a great example because it is Defence Force property and already bits of the surrounding ocean are a no-go zone. What about Albany then? Any ideas?
