Where is the opposition to this takeover
Where is the political opposition party
Where is the so called federal "liberal" party
These CFA people are out there on a limb and no one is supporting that limb

The troubles with the CFA are a symptom of the wider attitude to government by the current Labor strong arm mob

They talk of the stupid 60 000 volunteers as if their sacrifice and well being is for nothing in the eyes of the mighty Victorian Labor Party

The ruling Labor party in Victoria are obviously not concerned if fire destroys all of Victoria in the coming summer months, as long as the unions benefit with more money and power for the union bosses.

It is obvious that a power hungry Union group who have a minor membership and are not elected by the people are in total control of the State to it's detriment

And to make matters worse the people of Victoria and the apathetic Liberal Party allowed this to come about.
The saying is people get the politicians that they deserve.
I do think that Australia needs a more demonstrative, demanding public than the laid back Aussie that we have become.
You have allowed Australia to become what it is and it will get much worse before it gets better

Emergency Services Minister James Merlino has hit out at volunteer firefighters over a decision to challenge the state government's contentious CFA deal in the courts.

Less than 24 hours after the industrial deal with the United Firefighters Union was finally endorsed by the government's handpicked CFA board, Mr Merlino branded legal action by the group representing the 60,000-strong volunteer workforce as a waste of time and money.

ACCORDING to the polls, the next premier of Victoria will be a man with close links to criminals. Not that Labor leader Daniel Andrews shows any embarrassment about his relationship with Victorian Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union secretary John Setka, who, Andrews claims, “has the confidence of his members”.
That Setka has dozens of convictions for offences that include assault, criminal damage and theft does not seem to trouble Andrews
