February 11 - 13, 2014: E-world energy & water Will Continue Its Success Story
20. January 2014
The megatrends in the energy sector will be the centre of attention at the 14th E-world energy & water at Messe Essen. On February 11 - 13, 2014, the premier European fair will present innovative products and services in the electricity and gas industries from the fields of generation, efficiency, trading, transport, storage, smart energy and green technologies. Just like in the record year of 2013, more than 600 exhibitors from around 25 nations will participate in it once again - including giants in the sector such as e.on, RWE, Vattenfall, EnBW, Shell, General Electric, Deutsche Telekom and Siemens. Also as far as the trade visitors are concerned, the European sectoral meeting place is continuing to arouse great interest: More than 20,000 experts and decision takers will be expected once again.
Congress on the Future of the European Energy Market
How is the energy market in Europe developing? That will be one of the central questions at the three-day E-world Congress 2014. In 30 conferences, international experts from the political and economic fields will provide information about topical questions in the sector. Because the markets are coming closer together, ever greater attention is focusing not only on the national electricity and gas supply but also much more on the European electricity and gas supply. Its future will be examined, amongst other people, by high-ranking representatives of the European Commission. Moreover, the congress will provide the housing industry with its own conference for the first time. The main subjects will be the energy-related redevelopment of buildings as well as the procurement of energy.
Top Subject of "smart energy" Will be Extended by "Big Data Management"
The "smart energy" exhibition section will grow once again: With Hall 4 and the Galeria, an exhibition area of 3,800 square metres in total will be available to the megatrend in 2014. Here around 70 companies will introduce their solutions for intelligently controllable grids (smart grids) and meters (smart metering) as well as for networked house technology.
One new focal point will relate to the future trend of "Big Data Management": the acquisition, storage and analytical evaluation of gigantic quantities of data in the terabyte to exabyte ranges. Expert lectures and podium discussions in the "smart energy" forum for which Zentralverband der Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e.V. (ZVEI - "Central Association of the Electrotechnology and Electronics Industries") will be the ideal sponsor will be dedicated to this subject too.
The Third "Energy Turnaround Forum" Will Be Dedicated to Energy Efficiency
In Hall 7, 400 square metres will be reserved for the "Energy Turnaround Forum": On a cooperative booth, around 35 exhibitors from the fields of "Economy and Politics" as well as "Science and Research" will show their solutions to topical questions with regard to the energy turnaround. These will mainly relate to energy efficiency, possibilities of storing energy and possibilities of utilising renewable energies. The forum will be supplemented by a comprehensive programme of lectures which will be public within the fair.
"Municipalities Day" and "Consulates Day"
The energy turnaround and its active organisation in the towns, cities and local authorities will be the top subjects on the "Municipalities Day" at E-world energy & water. On February 12, 2014, Europe's premier fair for the energy and water industries will invite decision takers from municipal politics and protagonists from the energy industry to exchange opinions with each other at Messe Essen.
Not only the energy turnaround but also the challenges and chances of the climate change as well as renewable energies will be on the agenda on the "Consulates Day" on February 11, 2014. Representatives of international embassies and consulates as well as employees of chambers of foreign trade will obtain information at E-world energy & water and will make use of networking possibilities at the premier European fair.
Eleventh Careers Forum for Beginners in Occupations
E-world energy & water will support students and young graduates with regard to their careers planning. On Thursday, February 13, 2014, they will be able to establish initial contacts to possible employers at the fair. People responsible for personnel will present attractive vacancies, experienced employees will give careers tips at first hand and a "Marketplace" will offer an opportunity for individual discussions.
