Draft Taxation Ruling
Recently the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) issued a draft taxation ruling (TR 2004/D17) outling the tax consequences of financial contracts for difference. This ruling is available by going into the legal database within the ATO homepage www.ato.gov.au. and conducting a search for TR 2004/D17.
