DMA or marketmakers doesn't make a difference. It's time to move on. Blaming a marketmaker for a bad trading decision is a sign of a bad trader. If you get hung up on whether it's DMA or not then you're doomed to failure as a trader.
Personally I'm happy with using marketmakers. They give me a market price which I can either accept or decline. I don't see the problem.
