We always have to look after our national interests but lets pick the arguments with China very carefully now as these are strange times. The US basically wants to contain the expansion of China into a tech superpower which its sees as threatening. I agree with one imminent Shanghai Uni chinese professor published a few days ago in Singapore that Xi Jinping should not have bragged about his big plans. Not much we can do now but see this play out . We need calmer politics as this kind of conflict will just keep escalating .

I sold all my mining shares moved more money into cash . Even if they settle it would only because they get a lot more trade with China and that could affect us.
