There is much difference between Market Maker CFD and DMA CFD. In your post you have explained well how DMA CFD works. DMA CFD ASX shares reflect the underlying actual share price movements, they are not subject to the Market Maker's intervention.
When I first started trading CFD about 10 years ago, it was Market Maker CFD I was trading. I switched to DMA CFD a few years later and I will never go back to the Market Maker CFD again.
There is much difference in terms of transparency and that is an important factor to consider when you trade.
