I'm an FP fan too! I use them exclusively for my day trading, predominately using CFD's. FP are very responsive to queries and will negotiate on brokerage rates. Before asking for discounts etc, you will need to trade with them for a while to demonstrate your turnover, value of trades etc.
Obviously, the person trading a couple of times a week will struggle to get a discount and be taken seriously. Do a few trades a day and they will come to the party.
Brokerage adds up and if you can negotiate the price downwards, then that is a direct saving to you and can be the difference between profit and loss.
The webiress system is very good and it spreads well over four screens!
I use e*Trade for the longer term hold trades. No complaints with them but they are bigger and less flexible.
