Leichhardt was a copper oxide deposit. This requires a SX/EW process. Sulphuric acid is heaped onto the ore on leach pads - the SX part - Solvent eXtraction - which produces a copper sulphate solution. This solution is then put into an electrolytic procedure with a cathode and anode (Electro-Winning) and the copper ions are attracted to the cathode to produce pure copper (which is stripped from the cathode and is called copper cathode). All this is done at the mine processing site.

EXS's and CDU's projects are Copper Sulphide (plus potentially native copper for CDU) which uses a totally different process. This typically requires the ore to be concentrated first (at the mine processing site) and then shipped (usually far away) to a smelter/refinery to be refined into pure copper - for a fee - often quoted as the TC/RC fees. The ore at EHM are also sulphides.

As such, I cannot see Leichhardt fitting into EXS's or CDU's Projects.
