well yeah right, France has a large and reliable gas supply right ? NOT.
France gets most of its electricity from nuclear power which has minimal incremental cost and no greenhouse emission.
I guess this fuel cell scheme has some diversity benefit but it is also complicated and very expensive, the payback period on an appliance that costs 10,000 Euros ( thats close to 20,000 AUD + installation which would not be cheap ) is not going to be short.
