Bluegen it way too expensive, even at 20K
1.5 kw per hour x 24 x 365 (approx 13000kw ) x 20cents per kilowatt = $2600
$2600 worth of power at todays prices = 7.5 years pay back
Replace a stack at 5 years or less = $$??
gas cost of around $1000 per year ???
20000 + install + gas (first 5 years) + new cell = per year to run for 5 years $7200 = $36000
Unit needs to be priced well under $8000 to be economical and they need to reliable
Cell degradation seems to be a major problem and added expense
