true, in the short term they are focussed elsewhere although I came away from the video thinking none of us will know what’s happening until they pull the trigger. Trav seemed to me to be saying ‘who knows’ about what will happen next (he had a lot to say about the timeline of what he thinks has happened so far, which I found really helpful btw, I’m still a noob at mining M&A).
anyways, it feels like SPR has some time now to firm up some of the prospects, get the drive done, mine plans and hopefully turn up some new early stage prospects. I don’t mind selling but it would really piss me off if we sold even at a premium tactically - it would never be enough to pay us for the real strategic prospects here when we have cash and time. Fine, down the line if SPR at $2bn becomes part of something even bigger and gets a premium on a more developed MRE and producing mill.
still, exciting to see consolidation is on foot.
