Mate, I hope things eventually get better for you on the homefront. There are a few of us here who are in the same boat, I think.
Re the Technion. I can only give you my read based on what I have been following at the Technion, itself and from the ann's out the door from CGB.
ORIGINAL DEAL: 3 years
OBJECTIVE: Identify specific compounds to treat MS.
FUNDING: US$3ML (3X1)
RESEARCH TEAM: 40 personnel
PROGRESS: 1) Cell tissue trials - successful : 2) Mice trials - successful : 3) Human IV trials - in progress
RESULTS - Year 2 - Identified 2 Cannabinoids, I believe, that suppress or stop the progression of MS.
CURRENT PROGRESS:
1) Early termination of research in Israel at Year 2/3
2) 1 payment saved (I believe)
3) Research to be moved to Australia
SUMMARY
From my reading of the research trials with Dedi's work, he isolated two compounds (cannabinoids) which affected MS cell tissue growth but from his Videos (Technion), from May 2020, he had been getting mixed results when combining the two active Cannabinoids, which showed increased growth of diseased cells when combined. This may have created uncertainty amongst the research team (perhaps).
I had been reading that he had begun work on genus trials and polypharmacology. Combining the active compounds of two plant species, like fungi and Cannabis or seaweed and Cannabis. Apparently, the trials were showing promising results in the lab on cancer and diseased cell tissue.
After seeing this, in many of his new Videos, it raised some flags for me. Would this delay the research and the finalising of treatment and potentially blow out the funding timeline???
So I was pleased to see that the trial has been terminated at the Israeli end and that it appears that they will transfer the current research to Australia in this last HYearly. IMO, that was a good decision, saving CGB shareholders a further US$1ML or AUD$1.29ML. I support this decision. I have seen other companies burn $$$$ML's when red flags appear. I just would have been happier if they had provided more than a side note to explain this situation to shareholders.
The company can now choose to explore the research here when they are ready. I would like to see another $5 to 10 ML of savings in the tank before they even consider moving forward with any further research.
Re CannTab. Like you, I am very keen to see the Export ann. They have 8 more trading days to be delivered in this Quarter. Let's hope that we see something this week.
