I think CGC is slightly over valued at the moment but if you are planning a long term hold, then yes now is a good time to buy and just accumulate with price corrections. CGC are in the business of essentials (food) so there will always be a market for them. Looking at their portfolio they focus on generic fruits and vegetables, nothing niche. However, they had recently purchased avocado farms so are certainly looking to expand their portfolio. Being a millennial, I know avocados are all the rage at the momentFinancially, CGC look great too; Increasing revenue and profit, profit margins and lowering debt. Net gearing is 21% at the moment but nothing unmanageable in the long run. CGC is going ex-div tomorrow so good time to get some shares at a slight discount.
I bought in at $2.70 two years ago and sold at $3.30 6 months ago as I thought it was way overvalued (which is was from a FA point of view). But there is a lot of potential in the company.
