Umm .. RIO & China are great mates ?? , not so long ago China was locking up RIO exec's, which RIO said was fine but I wonder what they really thought !! Looks like a bit of a reverse play in the BAN case.

If Rio is in bed with cgnpc on this one, they deserve everything they will eventually get (shafted to borrow Harlee's phrase - & maybe a few of them jailed in China if they don't tow the Chinese line)

Money talks, so maybe they are willing to take the risk & in the 2 timing, 2 faced no holds barred world of business maybe they have done a deal with them.

However EXT is a ripe low hanging plum (mining license in place & resource upgrade on the way) & if there is not a fight for it, I will eat my hat while you are all drinking expensive booze at your after match party :-)
