Lol..no I wasn't involved in the European UCG trial but have been around the UCG space for a long time, even before Linc was thought of by Len Walker in 199?.

Being involved in the coal industry I've followed both the CSG and UCG space very closely.

UCG has far greater potential than CSG, it just needs someone to commercialise it and this is what I really like about CGV, its simple and inexpensive commercial business model to prove UCG's commercial viability. No huge power stations, gas to liquids or methanol plants.

The only missing part to CGV's plan is an offtake agreement for the gas, which they appear to be working on.
