    Yes, a very simple case of CNOOC not wishing to go as high as PETRONAS. There's no secret deals under the table just because their is an AMI. It clearly shows that FAR is working in shareholders best interests to secure best deal. As for A1 and A4, its my recollection that AMI didn't cover this ground anyway. Nothing to do with "hell hath no fury like a Chinese scorned"........ na its simply a commercial decision. As for AMI being dead?, well maybe, but I think little old FAR is doing pretty well without CNOOC anyway. FAR has done very well securing ground in the MSGBC Basin. They have ground in Guinea Bissau, Senegal and Gambia. What other companies at the moment have Petroleum Licenses in 3 of the 5 countries of the MSGBC?? As for CNOOC, lets wait and see if they do anything in the future. Its a fairly long game of chess securing ground in this current hotspot. Being an early entrant participant (and being successful) has certainly helped.
