Yes, I was there. I couldn't work out if the HC contingent were the ones in suits or jeans.
I must say that I wasn't inspired but to be fair this was always going to be a tough AGM. CNP have the majority of shares so any vote (like Stephen Mayne for director) was always going to be carried however CNP wanted it.
I am typing this on my phone and I will do a longer posting when I get to the hotel tonight. Meanwhile though:
A couple of observations:
1. They don't allow any drinks to be taken in, which means everyone was very thirsty by the end.
2. The board and management team were visibly nervous and rightly so.
3. I think they are looking to settle the litigation. I saw this as a big plus.
4. I feel more confident about the debt extension now than I did before just from the body language and way the chairman spoke.
5. GR is very different in person to what I expected. He looked tired.
I will do a longer posting later. There was nothing in the agm that made me change my long term view though.
