RMS are constantly hauling ore from smaller / stranded deposits in WA to their plants. In most cases the ore is less than 4 g/t and the distances longer.
Of course a combination of transport, contracting and labour would be far higher in WA than SA.
If anyone says WWI will fail because of the costs of hauling ore then it's simply a troll.
