LOL any body can divide the price paid by the barrels..... WPL were quite happy to use FARs number at the time.
I don't think the price has anything to do with anything apart from being cheap.
I think it has a lot to do with whether buying the company actually kills PE rights.
Clearly WPL thinks it does...... not so sure about COP, they issued a PE notice and in their Sec filing said they sold the 35% interest, later changed to sold COP Senegal BV...... maybe after a phone call from Peter, seems a particularly odd thing to do issuing a PE notice if your buyer says the right doesn't exist.
Even WPL were surprised at COP issuing a PE notice, COP chose a different path its now up to them to deliver the asset..... but wait I thought Wpl bought the company?
