I think, Yellowbull, you have highlighted the "mistake" that is being made here. You used the words incentivise and reward and while not mutually exclusive, are seperate functions. Incentivise: provide the potential for reward if the job is done. Reward: If the job is done, pay. I think we have been too used to Management that joins the two functions together and as a consequence the Reward (eg "cheap" opetions) was provided without any job being done. There was never any incentive. We should be careful that our actions and voices don't result in disincentivised management......... for clarity, what I'm saying is that the options should still be on the table but to appease ALL the "job done" needed to be a greater challenge.
