If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. The fact is, trading profitably over the long term is very hard. Occasionally, numbers will be leaked from brokerages, and the estimates are that 2-10% of retail accounts are consistently profitable over the long term. Even lower for leveraged accounts, obviously.

To hold a PDN over many years means holding through a drops of 40% or more. eg. in 2006. Try not selling then! Try not selling when the next speccy takes off during that 40% draw down and you need cash. There's so many reasons why you might grab profits early. Also, how do you know that you should sell at $10.50 (the top)? What prevents you from holding through another 40% erosion of profits after that point?

I really like CHN as a company and hope it 'does a PDN', but having a plan is very important. If the plan is to hold on for 1000% profit, that's fine, but also know how you will exit if that doesn't eventuate. One thing I can say about the 2-10% is that most of them would have very strict rules for how they go about it.
