They have been very effective in keeping price below $4 over last 5 weeks. Seems their happy spot is between $3 and $3.10.
I think when they make an offer, it is usually calculated on the previous 2 months average. So, as I said last week, 3 or 4 mondays will tell.
That means if an offer was made at a 60% premium to the 2 months average of say $3.50 it could be around $5.60.
My opinion is that if an offer is to be made (and it looks very likely), that there would be quite a few willing to sell at that level, but probably not enough for a full take over.
Don't see many of the top 20 selling under $6, and they account for approx 68% of stock. Grape vine has it that Wellington and Talbot est have said no way. Lodgic also says that if they were keen to exit at $6, they would have been selling long before now.
