Mike, I got the impression from Moondoong's post that it is more about requesting frank and honest disclosure about Ms Gillard's policies so that people know exactly for what they are voting. That is, if she was willing to resign and start with a clean slate to let the people decide.

Gay marriage is obviously a personal matter to some people. What they do with their lives is not my place to judge, but I do feel sorry for children who are obtained by various means to same sex couples. These kids have absolutely no say in having two mums or two dads when most other kids have one of each - even if it is in a step family situation or parents not living together - it's still one of each.
Children can be teased unmercifully if other kids detect they are anything other than what is generally considered normal.
