When will the big banks stand up and take on Afterpay?Afterpay's run of glory has largely been unchallenged in that it's competition have not been as strong when all that is needed for a fair fight is for the big banks to turn their debit cards into credit for purchases approved by retailers and it's done and to add to this is the the little known function with that is already available with in your credit card you can already nominate to have a purchase extended over a period of time interest free. with this coupled with the already existing debit cards the question still stands, why are the banks letting this stock run so far?
