The proposal above by the C of C may have its merits.
For my part, I propose that the age pension be limited to Australian taxpayers who have contributed to it via taxation for at least a period of 10 years( special allowances for the disabled and so on naturally ).
Further, the age pension would not be available at all to any naturalised citizen who has not contributed to it except those who have come from nations with whom we enjoy welfare recipricocity eg the UK.
Measures such as these will really clean it up and save us a wad of money.
