That churning you refer to has no effect on the shareprice as it does not influence the level of demand (due to the seller/buyer ratio remaining the same). Quite often the moving around of shares between related funds and instos is to realise a loss or profit for accouting purposes, not to influence the shareprice.
Either way, my argument is that the manipulation that posters so often refer to simply does not occur on the scale or frequency that is alleged. That too can give "newbies" the wrong impression as to the workings of the market.
I remember similar statements being made in relation to Hardman which simply did not materialise during the t/o offer. You would remember that.
